Mrs. Grimason, one of Sir John’s most passionate supporters, often provided food and drink to Macdonald’s followers on election night at what is now the Royal Tavern. Enjoy a good old-fashioned kitchen party with a mix of theatre, dance, music and food.

Location: The Royal Tavern, 344 Princess St. (across from St. Andrew’s Church)

Time/Dates: 9PM following Sir John, Eh? The Musical performances.

Admission: $5. Free entry with Sir John, Eh? The Musical ticket stub. Must be 19 years or older for entry.

While shooting a video in a graveyard, an indie band on the verge of collapse comes face to face with the ghost of Sir John A. Macdonald. They accuse him of screwing up the country, robbing them of opportunity, being a liar and a cheat. Ghostly colleagues rise in his defense. Scandalous secrets are revealed. The truth is told.

BELLEVUE HOUSE

This beautiful house is operated by Parks Canada and serves as a Museum, commemorating Canada’s first Prime Minister. Restored to the 1840s period, and staffed by costumed interpreters, the house and gardens are kept much as they would have been during the time that Macdonald lived here with his wife and infant son.

The wondrous cast of Sir John, Eh? The Musical will be performing selected vignettes from the production at the Bellevue House! Come take a sneak peek at our feature presentation, listen to other twentieth century performances and check-out spectacular time-period costumes! An fantastic afternoon of entertainment and history for all to enjoy.

Show time is 2:30pm, tickets may be purchased for a low cost at the Bellevue House. Performances on Fridays July 22th and 29th as well as August 5th and 12th.
